Downhill Madness Options Menue and Snowmen Madness

The options menue will be deprecated as it's would be just some stupid options in it. So as said we are waiting for the guys at SilverSprite to implant the GetData() function. Until then we all have to wait.
Meanwhile we will start the progress on Snowmen Madness, as before I won't say anything about it! But it will hopefully be great xD.

Downhill Madness - Status

The game is almost finished at this poit. It just need some polishing and a few images. And of course a Options menue :D. We are still waiting for the guys at Silversprite to fix a few functions, otherwise there will not be any collision! You'll probably see the game up on http://silverarcade.com/ soon!

Options menue

I'm just about to start the progress on the options menue. The menue will be pretty easy made. Just like this: select option item then press left or right to change the value. How I'm going to store it will probably be trought files.

The Score - Working

Now the score is working in both Sileverlight and XNA. The score, is as said, the distance you've travelled. The score is saved to the client harddrive and stored there. I don't know how this will work in "real-life" but it works at the moment!

The Score

The score will, at the moment, consist of the distance you've travelled. I've got no plans on changing that, couse I think that it's a good way of handling the score.
Now I just need to save the score...

The menue is almost done!

As the title say. It only need some adjustments and a Options tab and then it's done! At the moment there is a Start Game and Instructions button. It's not much about it...

SilverSprite Collision

Unfourtunatly SilverSprite does not have a good function for getting image data so yet. But the good thing is that the work on this is ongoing. So we'll have to wait another week before it will get to work in Silverlight with SilverSprite.
For more info about XNA games in Silverlight go to http://silversprite.codeplex.com/ or http://silverarcade.com/.
But still the game works in plain C# with XNA!

Collision - It works!

Finnally the collision works! It's per-pixel and with rotation. Now we need some kind of scoring system and then it's time for the menue! Or do we do the menue first???

Developement Continues - Collision

I'm right now trying to get the collisions working. It's hard couse the toboggan is rotating so I'm going for something much more advanced than just simple per-pixel collisions!
But it seems as it's always something wrong elsewhere rather than where it should be...

Progress started

Me and my friend started the progress on a game called Downhill Madness yesterday. Today we have polished the game and we will continue the progress now. I'll upload images as soon as we get more to it.
I can't tell you too much so you'll have to wait.
The game is being written in C# with XNA. And we'll also use Gimp.
